A new breed of drone aircraft, designed to be either a manned or an Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV), built for efficiency, speed, maneuverability and more payload abilities. The Humming Bird drone turbo prop is all new drone technology and theory to bring this drone to top performance above all other drones. Now, a drone capable of carrying more weaponry inboard the airframe keeping the aerodynamic design clean for high speed low altitude attacks. A drone that now can carry two M 134 mini guns mounted inboard firing over 3000 rpm through the nose while 8 rockets deploy from rocket batteries located inside the airframe under the wings. This is all operated with the touch of a button from the command center.
The configuration is evidence of aerodynamic optimums and the latest technology. The new, lightweight aerospace materials will contribute to strength, longevity and crash worthiness of this aircraft. The very nature of the laminate structure virtually precludes the need for recurrent short-term examination of the basic airframe, other than the normal annual inspection. Once in production the final airframe construction, owing to minimum parts and subassemblies, is expected to take less than two weeks per airplane to be built.
Sub-assemblies are restricted to landing gear, the turbine engine, and mechanicals to operate the aircraft. These are all designed to as modular replacements, for quick assembly and interchange instead of infield repair (Major cause of aircraft down time).
Turbine selection for the Humming Bird turbo prop is based on service history of the long term proven Allison 250 B-17 in use by the military, and general helicopter application. A jet version will be an added model with two Williams Rolls Royce Jet Fans ( FJ-22 ) for aircraft of this size.
The HummingBird drone turbo prop will fly to 23000' at 400 MPH, with a range of 1600 nautical miles on 120 gallons of fuel while carrying over a 1500# payload. That is 25 gallons an hour fully loaded for 6 hours duration.
The extremely large cockpit accommodates all military needs for all (UCAV) missions carrying electronics and weaponry all of which will be mounted inboard the fuselage maintaining a sleek aerodynamic design for operation where all other drone aircraft have difficulty operating below 5000'. The cockpit interior is 59" wide 48" high and 96" long. Larger by comparison for more equipment and uses.
Experimental certification is expected to result in minimum expenditures. Investment interests should find the analysis favorable for production in mass scale, subsequently a profitable and a totally new breed stealth drone aircraft.
